Katherine D. Hodge co-founded the law firm of HODGE & DWYER in 1991, and concentrates her practice in environmental law. She counsels clients of the firm regarding compliance with various requirements of federal and state environmental laws and regulations. Ms. Hodge also represents and advises clients in all phases of permitting and enforcement matters. In particular, Ms. Hodge has assisted a number of clients in Clean Air Act permitting projects and emissions trading transactions. She represents individual clients and industrial associations in the development and implementation of new regulatory programs.

From January 2002 until July 1, 2005, Ms. Hodge served as Executive Director of the Illinois Environmental Regulatory Group ("IERG"). Prior to co-founding HODGE & DWYER, Ms. Hodge served for more than five years as General Counsel for IERG. While with this affiliate of the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Hodge represented large industrial company members in regulatory proceedings before the Illinois Pollution Control Board and in negotiations with state and federal environmental agencies. She also represented the association in litigation to challenge actions of state and federal agencies, provided advice to the association on environmental matters and directed outside counsel and technical consultants on individual projects. From 1991 to 2002, and from July 1, 2005, to the present, Ms. Hodge and Hodge Dwyer Zeman have served as outside counsel to the association.

Ms. Hodge was named by former Governor James Edgar to represent the Illinois Manufacturers Association on the Site Remediation Advisory Committee. She formerly chaired the Leaking Underground Storage Tank Advisory Committee and served on the Hazardous Materials Advisory Board and the Program Advisory Council of the Illinois Hazardous Waste Research and Information Center. Ms. Hodge has been a frequent speaker at seminars and workshops on topics related to environmental and chemical safety issues.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Florida State University in 1982, Ms. Hodge earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1986. She is a native of Marion, Illinois.

Ms. Hodge is admitted to the bars of the Illinois Supreme Court; U.S. District Court of Illinois, Central District; and U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit. Ms. Hodge is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and its Environmental Law Section, Sangamon County Bar Association, and Central Illinois Women's Bar Association.
