Matt Read joined the firm as an associate in 2008. Mr. Read earned a Bachelor of Science degree (with honors) in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois in 2003. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2007 with a certificate from the College’s Program in Energy and Environmental Law.

As a law student, Mr. Read worked on environmental issues at the Environmental Division of the Chicago Legal Clinic. He also worked as a law clerk at the Illinois Pollution Control Board and at the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

Mr. Read is admitted to the Illinois Bar and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Sangamon County Bar Association. Mr. Read is originally from Springfield, Illinois.
